An Awesome Weekend with Friends!

We were very honored this weekend to have good company and significant progress toward our goals. Bro. and Sis. Apple, and Bro. and Sis. Moore came by the community house to check it out and to donate some clothes. They were very generous and installed a very nice rack for the clothing closet. Now we can hang as many as two hundred garments for our outdoor and poverty stricken friends.

We also discovered that Dawn has talent! She played the defective out of tune guitar as skillfully as any defective out of tune guitar can be played. Can't wait to hear more!
While Bro. Apple and Bro. Moore put up the racks, Sis. Moore jumped right into cleaning with me. The dusty old house is starting to look and smell quite nice. I was privileged to hear Bro. Apple's opinion of the Mission House and of the other future plans.
This is Aaron giving a display rug at Lowe's the old "Porras Challenge."
On Sunday afternoon, Aaron and I were able for the first time to spend our Sunday afternoon hangout session at the community house. We also went to Lowe's and looked at lumber and rugs and plants and stuff like that. Aaron is fun to be around and funny. He is the best person I know. Aaron is a great guy, and I am proud to have him as my right hand man. He inspires me to be a better person, even when I feel like giving up.
We also brought Justin over and got his opinion of the house. We were especially fascinated by the radical messages we found scribbled on the windows of the old house.
It is interesting that the old house was clearly used as a homeless camp in times past (and maybe in times present). But I dedicate my life to making this place beautiful, useful, and inspiring- an example to all mankind, a beacon of light in a dark, dark world. In Jesus' name.
