THOUSANDS OF CANNED GOODS!

This is the promise that we are given when we make ourselves available to others. It will always always always multiply!  "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6:37-38

This week has been an incredible week of blessing and encouragement. The community house doesn't even look the same anymore. Thanks to the help of Bro. and Sis. Apple, the refrigerator is in place and functioning quite well. David was kind enough to go and pick up the beautiful glass top stove from Kevin's house and bring it to the house on Mobberly. It is also in place and functioning well.

The Nursing department at KC collected over THREE-THOUSAND canned goods to fill up the food pantry. That number is increasing every day as the food drive continues for another week, so I will have a final count soon. I am sore all over from carrying canned goods here and there!

On Tuesday morning, Cindy brought her class of students from Physical Therapy. They came with great attitudes, ready to give back to the community. Immediately it was obvious that we had no parking lot as we tried to park seventeen cars. But we solved that problem, and the students completed several projects rather quickly. They scrubbed down the refrigerator and the oven. They planted flower bulbs in the front flower bed. They constructed raised beds for the garden behind the house. AND, they cleaned the food pantry and organized thousands of canned goods into the food pantry!

I don't think these wonderful people even realize how encouraging their visit and their donations have been. I makes me feel like I've been holding on to something that really will make a difference in our community! #stoked!
