Forever 21 Christmas Party in Baton Rouge

I was humbled this past weekend to be invited to a Christmas party in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the home of Bro. and Sis. Spell. I owe great thanks to Beverly Majors and Belinda Spell for their thoughtful ideas. Forever 21, instead of playing the White Elephant game this Christmas, decided that everyone would bring a pillow, blanket, or coat to share with the homeless.
a spontaneous jam session

The gave me an opportunity to tell about Friendship Community House and about our burden for the homeless and destitute in Longview.

They were very attentive and thoughtful. We talked about some of our stereotypes and misconceptions about the people who live on the street. The party blessed us tenfold with more goodies than I could carry back in my car! The living room of the Community House is packed out. We need more storage space!

I met many remarkable people whose conversation and disposition changed my life forever.
THIS lady (Sandra) can make that piano sing! I look kinda creepy in the background.

My hero, Kim! [Nothing in this world compares to a girl with a Cajun accent and good morals!]

The Party!

And this lady is just. plain. dangerous.

A great big THANK YOU to Forever 21 and the Spell family for all your blessings on us this Christmas. May the Lord bless you tenfold!
