Zachary's Birthday Party

THESE kids are pretty awesome. Zachary is a local boy scout who wanted to learn how to bake cakes. By chance, it was also his 8th birthday! 

So, we had a cake baking party with the kids and had a little party for Zach. It was an awesome, messy time. First, we made a Batman birthday cake, and we learned just how difficult it is to make black icing. Then, we made a volcano four layer cake with pecans for rocks and cream cheese icing for lava for the Boy scouts contest. 

Dylan and Sofia made some chocolate walnut cookies. Aaron and Jamie and I were quite entertained by the chaos. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a really cook kid.
